Regardless of which name you call them by, newfoundland dogs newfies newfy newf newfs newfie, they are a special breed growing in popularity and no wonder! They have a perfect trmperament to be considered a part of the family regardless of the age of the family members either young or old you will find theis breed to be perfect and to fit right in.

International Kennel clubs generally describe the breed as having a sweet temper.[2][3][1] They are often referred to as the “gentle giant.” They have deep barks, are easy to train, are fine guardians and watchdogs, and are extremely good with children.[

The breed originated in Newfoundland from a breed indigenous to the island, that later became known as the St. John's Dog. The speculation they may be partly descended from the big black bear dogs introduced by the Vikings in 1001 A.D.[3] is based more in romance than in fact. It is more likely that their size results from the introduction of large mastiffs, brought to the island by many generations of Portuguese fishermen, who had been fishing the Grand Banks of Newfoundland since the 1400s. By the time colonization was permitted in 1610, the distinct physical characteristics and mental attributes had been established in the breed. In the early 1880s fishermen from Ireland and England traveled to the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, where there they described two main types of working dog: one more heavily built, large with a longish coat, whereas the other was lighter in build, an active, smooth-coated water dog. The heavier one was the Newfoundland and the other was the known as the Lesser St. John’s Dog, the forerunner of the Labrador Retriever. The dogs were used in similar ways to pull fishnets and heavy equipment.

What exactly is a scam?

Have you ever wondered what constitutes a scam? Well, recently I have seen a couple of companies in which I was involved for many years calling my new business other businesses, a Scam. So I started thinking about it. Is a company which charges a small one time fee( a fee which is less than the signup fee combined with the 12 monthly fees in my previous business and also pays out a hefty income to at least 35 % of it’s members within the first 6 weeks) or the company which charges a Signup fee plus a continuing monthly fee month after month and year after year for 5 to 10 years with a promise of great things to come and where probably 90 % of the members are receiving no money what so ever.

Really makes one wonder. But then add to that the fact that the old company requires you to sponsor one new paid member monthly and some programs like Tagm places a paid member under you at no cost! Hmmm… I’m beginning to wonder here. And where does the long time member get that paid member because they have not had the ability to sponsor them on their own? Why from a company Auction of Course! And how much does one pay for that paid Member at the company auction? Anywhere from $200. to $1000. Now why on earth would someone do that. Because they have been threatened to be disqualified from earning an income unless they sponsor a paid member each month! Makes perfect sense to me for that company but some programs charge nothing for members they place in your matrix.

But the other company says some programs have no legitimate product! They feel that leads provided by some companies are not a real product and have no value yet they make it mandatory that their qualified paid members get at least 10 new leads each month which they can purchase from their co op at the fantastic rate of $.3.00 each! Wow! Wonder why the leads provided by other companies have no value.

Does a Shopping Mall which lists merchants copied from “Commission Junction” or “Link Share”, and keeps a portion of the commission they receive and distribute the rest to VIP’s, most of who fail to qualify because they have not met the other requirements constitute a viable product. Anyone can sign up as a merchant with Commission Junction or Link Share so where’s the value.

Does this company go by the letter of the law or the intent of the law and use it only when they choose to condemn another company?
Thousands of worthless leads which have been recycled within the company for years. If you don’t believe me just look at the ID Numbers. They don’t lie.
Not sure what the annual fee is as it has been increased

Now you take a look at how long you’ve been with your current company and examine how much your income totals and what your expenses are and then compare that with what some people are earning in other programs.
Now I ask you again! What constitutes a scam?

What To Do With Whiners

What To Do With Whiners

This was sent to members of our marketing group by a truly inspirational guy, Andre Davis. I felt compelled to share it too – it’s just sooooo good, and some of the best advice anyone can ever receive! My Comments are in blue, the rest is Andre – thank you for a brilliant piece Andre!

“Learning How To Motivate Your Group”
(AKA: What To Do With Whiners…)

Quick question for ABG Members… Have you ever been frustrated by the people in your group that just can’t seem to get going… All they ever do is show up to the training calls and then pester you with questions or complaints? Well what are you supposed to do? Ignore them? Motivate them? Cater to their needs? Cut them off completely?

“Andre, I have no problem with introducing my MLM Business to people and having repeat product ordering. We have a system in place to make this simple. Everyone loves the business!”

Most of those who come on board for the business, no matter how much support I and my upline give, give up! If they’re not making a living in 12months…they’re over it! I have tried in various ways to encourage them, however, duplicating myself just doesn’t happen. Why?”

I’ve even had people after less than 12 weeks give up – to those I ask… would you EVER expect to start an OFFLINE business and be in profit in less than 3 months?

That’s a great question, and one that EVERY networker with at least 50 reps will start to wrestle with.

I remember feeling quite guilty… Almost depressed for some of the people’s lack of success on my team. In turn, I started spending the vast majority of my time developing new websites, new systems, and new tools in order to help them achieve the success they said they so badly wanted.

I basically stopped sponsoring all together and got into the dreaded “management mode”, where 90% of my time was spent on training and tool development.

But the funny part, is that nothing ever changed. It didn’t matter what I did for them. It didn’t matter how bad I wanted “success” for them. The people who were getting results, continued to do so, while those who were treading water, kept treading.

Understand this right now: The only thing you can do that will TRULY help your business and your team members is to lead by example.

Just do the things that you need to personally do on a daily basis to build your business – Advertising, Prospecting, Follow-up, and New Rep orientation. One training call per week for new reps, tops… Spend more of your time one-on-one with your producers, and that’s it.

Just as it is a sorting game to find new reps, it is a sorting game to find reps that will work and achieve once they join.

The sad truth is that 90% of those who start a networking business aren’t really serious about becoming self-employed. They are just looking to “buy some hope”, so they can quite the voices of discontent in their heads.

Soon enough, they’ll find an excuse as to why “it didn’t work for them”, and quit.

And there’s NOTHING you can do about it – So don’t spend your time and energy worrying about it.
In my opinion, the problem is mindset… people to develop their most important asset – their MIND… without real belief in yourself and the REAL possibilities, you will lose interest.

•DO NOT cater to their weakness. Do not change your tools if they are working for you. Do not change your websites if it is working for you. Do not change your system if it is working for you – just because it doesn’t work for others… It never will, and it’s their issue, not yours.

•Build YOUR business. Lead by example, and the right one’s (the few), will follow you. Put your blinders on to everything and everyone else.

•Tolerate ZERO negativity in my life now. Someone send’s an unfriendly email… Adios. They’re off my list and out of my life. OK… this is the KEY. No whiners allowed! And this is what we are creating with the CrazyFoxes Marketing Group – a positive culture of success – whiners just don’t feel like hanging with us!

•”Find new blood” I was at a convention once and I asked a simple question; what I needed to do because my downline had gotten stagnant. (I had basically stopped recruiting). “Find new blood” was his answer, and he was right.

•You’re not here to save people. You’re here to give them an opportunity to save themselves. Most won’t. And only they can ever change that. We will give you everything you need to succeed… all you have to do is succeed.

•As a business owner, it’s much smarter to find “Do-ers” and leaders than it is to turn people into them, (which is basically impossible without their personal conviction to do so). Personal conviction… there it is again… another word for mind-set.

•It is also VERY important that you leverage LARGE numbers in your business building efforts, because you won’t even notice the whiners, complainers, and quitters when you’re dealing with thousands of people.

•The best way to do that is to start advertising, then build and maintain a LIST that you drip on over time. Each new contact will bring new, interested prospects and reps to the table.
Sincerely, Andre

Have you ever received better advice? If you have, PLEASE let’s hear it!

Not A Black Man, Not A White Man But An American Man Has Given Us “Hope”!

Philip and Robbie Bracco

Philip and Robbie Bracco

Tonight just may have been the most important Presidential Election in the history of the United States Of America and the winner is “Hope”.

Not a Black Man, not a White Man but an American Man has leaped forward to lead us as many people grab the vision for the first time.

But the magic is not in having “Hope” but rather acting on the ingredients which turns “Hope” into reality!

Many of us have had adversity in our lives but it is how we react to that adversity which allows some people to succeed to the highest levels of success while others sink to the pits of dispair.

What I saw tonight in the faces in the crowd were people of all races, religions and backgrounds, famous and infamous, rich and poor all standing side by side who now have hope for their future and the future of their generations to come. A vision of a United States of America! Freedom and Justice for all.

Regardless of what our political background, I feel that most people who have watched this young man’s rise from the streets of Chicago the night he gave the Keynote Address speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention to this “Night in Time” where he delivered such a moving speech to all Americans and the world of incredible “Hope”

A leader who will lead us by example and not just by speech but realizes that it is not about him but rather about us! He has had to pull himself up by the bootstraps and perform against all odds and he is asking us to do the same thing. What about you? How has adversity affected your life? Think about it and let’s all get behind our new president as another great American, John McCain has suggested and together regain our place in the world as the great leader we are as we work to heal the wounds of a two party race but now join as one for the good of all.

History In The Making

This morning, I watched with great interest and pride as one of our great American Heroes, Colin Powell rendered his endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President of these United States of America which we all love so dearly.

General Powell has been a figure throughout my years as a calming force within our government
and I have always respected him as a general, a leader and as a person who sincerely cares about the direction in which we are moving as a people.

Of all the reasons General Powel gave for endorsing Senator Obama, one stood out in my mind
because it is exactly what Phil and I have been discussing at great length.

Phil and I have been around a long time and are now in our seventies so we have seen many presidents come and go
and the one tithing which stands out in our mind is that above all we need a person as our leader who has the interest of all the people at the forefront of his administration. He also needs to be a strong leader on defense and the economy and the environment and all the other complicated issues that come with holding the highest office of the land. He also needs to know when he has a weakness and when to seek counsel from other great minds within our government before rendering a decision on life changing issues and I feel that Senator Obama has demonstrated that he will do just that by bringing Senator Joe Biden in as his Vice President.

However unless he is able to convey that strength to us the American people as well as the Leaders of the World with force, resolve, commitment and compassion. I feel that Barack Obama has that ability to unite us as a people not only of the United States but as a people of the world. There comes a time when we have to put many preconceived ideas aside and listen to the message.

But it’s not enough to have the ability to pull that all together
but a great leader must be able to convey strength not only to us, the American People but to people around the world. Not since President Reagan have I felt this kind of pride in one of our elected officials, currently a Senator and hopefully President on November 4th.

I realize that there will be some who consider General Powell’s endorsement to be racial
however I too am a Republican and a white female but many of the issues General Powell stated are the exact same issues which jump out at me as I have struggled with my decision to also endorse Senator Obama as the leader of this great land. It’s simply not enough to have knowledge but equally important, in order to become an exceptional leader, one must be able to convey that knowledge with confidence, authority and commitment in a way which makes others want to follow. I feel that we have found that in this exceptional young man.

In closing I want to share with you a conversation I had with my son a few months ago. He said “Mom, I admire you so much. You always understand and have the answer to any dilemma I have ever faced. When I look at the hardships you have had throughout your life with very little education and see how wise you have become I cannot help but feel that if circumstances were different you could have been an important leader not only of our family but of the world. I was very flattered by that revelation from my son but my answer to him was that the adversity I faced throughout my life is what made me who I am today and I feel that that is true with Barack Obama. I respect him and to me that is one of the most important assets of the man who takes over the leadership of our great country on January 20, 2009!

God Bless Us All!

Exotic dog breeds grow in popularity

Exotic dog breeds grow in popularity

as traditional British favourites decline

An Excerpt from the Telegraph.co.uk
By Jasper Copping

Dogs like the Hungarian vizsla, the Eurasier and the grand bleu de Gascogne are becoming much more common, according to new statistics from the Kennel Club.

Experts said owners were choosing the new breeds because they wanted their dogs to stand out from the pack.

One of the most popular of the new foreign breeds is the Hungarian vizsla, which was used as a hunting dog by Magyar tribes more than 1,000 years ago. Almost 1,000 have been bred in the UK this year so far – up 18 per cent on the same period last year. A further 250 wire-haired vizsla pups have also been born, 26 per cent more than last year.

Several of the new breeds growing in popularity are from Germany, including the Eurasier, the Bavarian mountain hound and the leonberger, of which 349 have been born so far this year, up 15 per cent over the same period last year.

Paul Keevil, a photographer and artist who specialises in dogs, said: “We’re certainly seeing a trend towards foreign dogs. People are trying to search out these more obscure, rare breeds from far flung parts of the world and many of them are really taking off.

“They are deemed exotic and there is a certain cachet in saying you have a rare dog from overseas. But, of course, as they become more popular they become less exotic.”

The Portuguese podengo, which used to accompany Portuguese explorers on voyages so they could kill rats on their ships, was first introduced to the UK in 2002 and there are now more than 400 in the country.

There have been 92 pups born already this year, compared with just 35 over the same period last year.
Betty Judge, Chairman Portuguese Podengo Club of Great Britain, said: “The breed is doing very well at the moment. It is a bit different and quite unique. Until recently, most people hadn’t even heard of it, but that is changing now. They are very easy dogs to keep. They are a delightful breed.”

The Bolognese, bracco Italiano and cirneco dell’Etna are all Italian breeds increasing in numbers in Britain, while two French dogs – the petit basset griffon Vendeen and grand bleu de Gascogne – have both seen rises. The coton de Tulear, from Madagascar, and a Cuban breed called the Havanese are also growing in popularity.

Other dogs, whose origins are easier to identify, and whose numbers are rising, include the Australian shepherd, the Slovakian rough-haired pointer, the Swedish vallhund, the Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, the Spanish water dog, the Catalan sheepdog and the Portuguese water dog.

The new figures, released by the Kennel Club last week, also show established breeds showing steep declines in their numbers. Irish setters, old English sheepdogs, bull terriers, Staffordshire bull terriers, West Highland terriers, Airedale terriers, boxers, Dobermans, Great Danes and rottweilers all dropped in numbers. The most popular breed remains the Labrador retriever, with more than 36,000 registered already this year.

Caroline Kisko, spokeswoman for the Kennel Club, said: “The vast majority of people tend to buy the very well-known and familiar breeds, such as the Labrador retriever, which is why their registration figures stay at a high level year-on-year.

“At the other end of the spectrum are those people who look to buy imported foreign breeds because they want something that is unusual and less well known. The numbers have increased as more people come to know about them.

“There are 209 pedigree breeds in the UK, each with their own unique characteristics, so there is a breed out there to suit every owner, without the need for people to look abroad if they don’t believe that the more popular dogs will suit their needs or lifestyle.”

The Club, which organises Crufts, announced recently that it was to review breeding standards for all pedigree dogs after a BBC documentary raised concerns about genetic diseases.

Bracco Italiano

Bracco Italiano

Note from Robbie Bracco – My personal favorite is of course the Bracco Italiano since we share the same name although I must admot that I have not owned it as long as they have. This wonderful breed of dog goes back to the time of the Egyptians so they are survivors and I do share that trait with them.
